Investor confidence in the Eurozone has increased this month for the first time since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
- Sentix’s index of Eurozone investor confidence has risen to -15.8 points in June from -22.6 in May, the weakest figure since June 2020. Despite the improvement, the economy is still in a downturn.
- The current situation index improved to -7.3 in June from -10.5 in May as the expectations index improved by 10 points to -24.0 in June, from -34.0 in May.
- Manfred Huebner, managing director of Sentix warned that despite improvement in the situation, this is unlikely to mark a significant turnaround.
Globally, the trend is also similar. For USA and Switzerland, the economic developments are weaker.
