Euro area consumer confidence dropped by 0.3 points in February from January figures.
- The European Commission stated that a flash estimate reported that eurozone consumer morale dropped to -8.8 points this month from an unrevised -8.5 points in January.
- In the European Union as a whole, consumer sentiment dropped by 0.2 points to -10.2.
- In January, the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) eased further in both the EU (-1.4 points to 111.6) and the euro area (-1.1 points to 112.7).
The Employment Expectations Indicator (EEI) dropped slightly from the second consecutive month in the EU (-0.5 points to 113.1) and the eurozone (-0.2points to 113.3).
