Top Decliners
Among the Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, S4 Capital PLC saw the largest decline on Monday, as shares cratered by 21.7%. Additionally, shares of Lonza Group AG and Societe Generale S.A. tumbled by 14.7% and 12.1% respectively.
Other Significant Decreases
Nordic Semiconductor ASA, a technology company, and Future PLC, a printing/publishing business, rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks declined by 10.0% and 7.0% respectively.
Top Gainers
On the other hand, Aroundtown S.A., a real estate company, saw the largest increase among the Stoxx Europe 600 constituents as shares added 4.3% on Monday. Furthermore, shares of Mondi PLC and Ocado Group PLC gained 3.3% and 3.1% respectively.
Other Significant Increases
Oersted A/S, an electric utilities company, and International Distribution Services PLC, an air transport company, rounded out the top five largest increases as their stock prices rose by 2.5% and 1.9% respectively.
Currency and Commodity Market Update
The pound was up 0.14% against the dollar, while the euro rose by 0.34%. Brent crude gained 0.88% to reach $94.76.
Bond Yields
The yield on the 10-year gilt rose by 2.98 basis points to 4.391%, and the yield on the German 10-year bund rose by 3.450 basis points to 2.71%.
