European Market
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 experienced a slight increase of 0.1% during morning trading. Notably, ASR Nederland saw a significant rise of 11.7%, while NN Group added 10.1%. Conversely, Dr. Martens slipped by 21%, and Future PLC dropped by 5.8%. The FTSE 100 also experienced a slight loss of 0.1%. Meanwhile, other stocks in Europe showed positive performance, with France’s CAC 40 gaining 0.2% and Germany’s DAX climbing 0.2%.
Dollar Index and Commodities
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index remained flat at 97.55.
In the commodities market, Brent crude saw a considerable climb of 1.1%, reaching $83.76 per barrel. Similarly, WTI crude also increased by 1.1% to $78.75 per barrel.
Bond Yields
The German 10-year Bund yield observed a decrease of 2 basis points, falling from 2.436% to 2.417%. Conversely, the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury increased by 1 basis point, rising from 4.265% to 4.276%. It’s worth noting that bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
Asian Stock Performance
Stocks in Asia exhibited positive trends, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 index gaining 0.5%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng increasing by 0.3%. China’s benchmark Shanghai Composite also experienced a gain of 0.3%.
