Over a quarter of American investors already own Bitcoin, with over half entering the crypto space in the past year, according to recent research conducted by Grayscale.
- The latest studies found that 26% of United States residents have invested in Bitcoin, with nearly 60% of all participants indicating interest in crypto investments, hinting that this would only continue to grow.
- Some 55% of the investors have entered the crypto market in the last 12 months, with popular investors such as Paul Tudor Jones, Barry Sternlicht, Orlando Bravo, Senator Cynthia Lummis, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, and New York Mayor Eric Adams expressing support for the digital token in the past months.
- The number of older investors — aged between 55 and 64 — rose this year, accounting for 46% of investors versus 30% in 2020. Female investors now account for 53% of investors, up from 47% last year.
Grayscale Chief Executive Officer Michael Sonnenshein said the latest investor study confirms that investors see long-term value in Bitcoin.
