Geometric Energy Corporation (GEC), a Canadian startup that provides technology services, is making space advertising possible by working with SpaceX.
- Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of GEC Samuel Reid stated the company was in the process of building a satellite, a CubeSat.
- The company plans to load the CubeSat onto a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, which will take it into orbit and release it before the rocket reaches the moon.
- Once in orbit, a selfie stick linked to the side of the CubeSat will film the display screen. The footage will be live-streamed on YouTube or Twitch for anyone to watch the satellite’s screen.
- Individuals and companies can purchase tokens for the pixels in crypto. There are five tokens to choose from Beta, Rhoe, Gamma, Kappa, and XI.
In the future, GEC will introduce Dogecoin payments. Businesses, advertisers, artists, and any person interested will put their illustrations on CubeSat’s display screen.
