US crude oil refinery inputs hovered around 15.5 million barrels per day, an increase of 44,000 barrels per day from the prior week.
- Crude oil inventories in the US expanded by 2.4 million to 416.2 million barrels in the week ending January 21. Total commercial petroleum inventories dropped by 4.1 million barrels.
- Refineries operated at 87.7% of their operable capacity as gasoline production expanded, hoovering around 8.9 million barrels per day.
- Imports of crude oil in the US averaged nearly 6.2 million barrels per day, 500,000 barrels per day lower than the prior week.
- Total products supplied over the last four-week period hovered around 21.2 million barrels per day, an increase of 11.6% from the same period the prior year.
Jet fuel product supplied increased by 24.5% compared with the same period last year.
