Crypto debit cards are gaining popularity as Visa gives approval to Australian startup CryptoSpend to release a spending card in Australia.

    • The Sydney-based crypto spending app announced Visa’s approval for them to issue physical debit cards that will allow Australians to spend their Bitcoin at the local merchants.
    • In an interview, CryptoSpend co-founders said the new card will be issued by Novatti, a major local payments company and is expected to enter the market in September.
    • The upcoming crypto debit card will enable users to spend their major cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, XRP, ETH, and Bitcoin Cash.

CryptoSpend co-founder Andrew Grech says the card would enable Australians to cash out their Bitcoin returns rather than selling the cryptocurrency.

BTC gains 0.85%, ETH gains +1.45%, XRP dips -0.05%, BCH gains +1.07%
